Once upon a time, the calzone was considered to be the most efficient type of pizza to get delivered to your door, as they retain their heat better. However, nowadays the calzone is an Italian superstar in its own right.

Calzone is also the ultimate in 'food on the go', having been originally created in Naples to make it easier to eat pizza while you walk. Its name even references this, with trousers hinting toward its leggy, on-the-go past.
